Features

The bed comes in all standard sizes and supports standard mattresses. You can use your existing mattress or buy one of your choice. Mattress is not provided. A box spring is not needed. The head-side goes down by only a tiny bit so that you are never uncomfortable (multiple users have tested and vouched); only the leg-side goes down by a lot. The bed is engineered with a braking mechanism that makes it very sturdy. Correct, there are no “legs”. Yet, it is sturdy. You can use the bed for all purposes as any other bed!

Backed by science and rich tradition of mothers rocking their babies to sleep

Sleep is not a hack. It's a rhythm.

We use the time tested method of mothers rocking babies to sleep. Multiple studies have shown the effectiveness of rocking in inducing sleep. We don't force sleep. We use rhythmic movement to induce sleep.

Rocking restores calm

We use movements that calm babies and cruise ship passengers alike.

Sleep like a baby

Rock and Sleep Bed recreates the same soothing movement that once helped you sleep as a baby; gently and nicely.

Rhythm over force

We weren’t meant to be knocked out. Our bodies respond to rhythm, we just use that to good effect.

The Sleep Problem

Getting to sleep has become a problem

The stresses of life, combined with technology, screens and social media has made it difficult for many to get to sleep. Medicines, even though effective in many cases, can cause dependency and could have side effects. The bed seeks to address the sleep problem.

A Personal Journey to Better Sleep

Built for myself, now ready for you.

This all began as a personal quest. For years, I struggled with falling asleep and often found myself wide awake in the middle of the night, unable to drift back off. I remembered how easily I used to fall asleep while traveling on trains or cruise ships, rocked gently by their motion. Since there were no rocking beds made for adults, I decided to build one myself.

I knew from experience that the motion of trains and ships can eventually lead to motion fatigue or even motion sickness. To avoid this, I designed my solution so that the movement would automatically stop after a set period; once I was asleep.

After six years of research and development, I’ve created something I now use every single night. It perfectly recreates that soothing sensation from train and cruise ship nights, without any lingering motion fatigue. Through experimentation, I found that a gentle speed of 7 rpm works best for me, with a preset timer of 30 minutes. Most nights, I fall asleep within that window. On rare occasions when I don’t drift off before the bed stops, I still enjoy a lingering, pleasant sensation; almost as if the bed is still gently moving. That feeling alone is often enough to lull me to sleep.

Now, the solution I dreamed of is real and it’s finally ready for others also to benefit from.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about how the bed works, its safety, and how to use it.

You can avoid sickness or fatigue by choosing the lowest speed (5 rpm) and the lowest time setting of 15 minutes. The head-side goes down by only a tiny bit (unlike the movement in ships). The rocking mechanism of the bed works for a preset duration only; it does not remain in motion throughout the night. If you begin with a preset of 15 minutes but find you haven’t fallen asleep by then, you can increase the duration to 30 minutes.

Not at all. It operates between 35-45 dB, like a fan in the room. The founder's sleep was not affected by the motor noise. For those who are extremely sensitive to sound, we recommend using either reusable ear loops or a white noise machine. Special effort has been made to minimize noise: the motor and gearbox were carefully selected after six years of research.

As the founder, I have used the bed for over a month and personally find a gentle speed of 7 rpm ideal, paired with a 30 minute rocking preset. This usually helps me fall asleep within 30 minutes. On the rare occasions when I remain awake after the bed stops, I notice a temporary pleasant sensation as if the bed is still gently moving, which helps me drift off to sleep soon after.

Yes, the bed comes with a remote control that allows you to set the rocking duration, speed, and resting position of the bed (head up, horizontal, or head down).

The current version of the bed is not fully “adjustable” in the traditional sense (with independent head and foot elevation). However, you can set the entire bed to a head-up, head-down, or horizontal position; when the head is elevated, the legs are lowered, and vice versa. Independent adjustment of head and legs may be added in a future version. One specific user with lower back pain remarked that he has a problem with adjustable beds because his waist also bends when he makes the head-side go up. When he tested the Rock and Sleep Bed, he loved that it did not bend at the waist when the head was up.

Yes, the bed is engineered to be sturdy and stable. It features a secure braking mechanism that ensures the bed remains completely stationary and safe when the motor is stopped.
